PA New Homes at Cedarfield

Tours and Tailgates

The bleak and chilly weather outside may detract from the ideal images of a sunny tailgate so many hope for during the Blue-White football brawl at Penn State, but we aren’t letting gloomy weather put a damper on our traditional festivities this weekend!
Once again, we will be setting up for our annual Tours & Tailgates this Saturday, April 16th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at The Village at Penn State, located smack dab in the middle of the Happy Valley action! For those who may not be in the know, The Village at Penn State is located within walking distance of Penn State, making it a perfect 2nd home for those who are sick of coughing up thousands of dollars for their Penn State obsession at expensive hotels and rentals. It’s not every day that you’re presented with something for free; especially not a hot new gadget such as an iPad. However, that’s exactly what S&A Homes offered at the Blair County Home and Garden Show and the Centre County Home Show last month.
From March 4 through March 6 and again on March 11 through 13, attendees of the home shows had the opportunity to view exhibits, learn about first-time home purchases and even window shop. And although learning about the S&A E-Home is a treat in itself, visitors to the S&A Homes table had the opportunity to get more than a free consultation with one of our excellent representatives: Each person who used our computer to “like” us on Facebook and write a positive comment about their experiences at the home show was automatically entered to win a free iPad.

New iPhone App Helps Buyers Calculate Savings

You may even be wondering if buying a home is really more cost effective than renting. To help buyers sort it all out, the National Association of REALTORS® launched a new iPhone app, the MID Calc.
The MID Calc was designed to help homeowners estimate their Mortgage Interest Rate Deduction tax savings. You can also use the app to determine your buying power. To calculate buying power, enter in your current monthly rent and rent inflation percentage under rent calculations and the home price, mortgage rate percentage, down payment and expected tenure under mortgage calculations; then press calculate.
